Ben Pentreath set up his Bloomsbury-based architectural practice in 2004 when he was 32, and opened a design shop nearby in 2008. Ben has a particular interest in larger scale housing projects and is the co-ordinating designer for
Pound-bury, the urban extension to Dorchester. Ben is based in London and West Dorset, where he has recently restored a 19th century parsonage.
He read history of art at the University of Edinburgh and the joined the office of Charles Morris in Norfolk. He spent five years working with Fairfax & Sammons Architects in New York before returning to London.
George Saumarez Smith is the youngest of five directors of ADAM Architecture. He joined the firm in 2003 and became a director the following year.
George lives and works in Winchester, and he is currently Chairman of the Trustees of the Art Workers Guild in Queen Square, Bloomsbury.
George studied at the University of Edinburgh where he graduated with distinction in architecture. His diploma project involved the reconstruction of an angel?s wing from the bell tower of the church of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
Francis Terry qualified as an architect in 1994 from Cambridge University. Since 1994 he has been working with his father Quinlan Terry with whom he is now a partner.
He regularly exhibits architectural drawings at the Royal Academy and won the Worshipful Company of Architects Prize for Architectural Drawings in 2002.
He has an interest in historic buildings and served on the Georgian Group Casework Panel (2005-2007). He has recently become involved in a campaign to preserve a Roman circus in Colchester.
