Kate Trafeli lives in London, working out of studio space in The N22 Chocolate Factory. She spent the previous ten years in Northern Italy, developing her work and practice. She works mainly within three disciplines: abstract-impressionist painting; conceptual photography mixed with other materials (encaustic wax, resin, paint, stone, wood); and fine art photography. Some of the themes underlying Kate's work include mirror matter, dark matter and 'wonderwalls': glimpses of different realities or worlds. She also extensively works with and explores colour theory and practice in her work.
Kate's paintings, mixed-media pieces and prints are in private and corporate collections throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and the United States. Kate welcomes and has created numerous large scale commissions.
