My many travels collecting old stories, history and inspiration and my fascination with alchemy all weaves into my dreams while I sleep that transfers to the canvas when I wake.

From Melbourne to London, Italy, New York, Turkey and now New Orleans, the artwork of Melinda McCarthy has been exhibited world wide over and beyond a 10 year span.
She was selected as a special guest artist in the recent Biennal of Izmir and was short listed among the best of the Biennale of Chianciano in 2009.
As her work is often based on old legends and folklore, its strongly narrative nature has seen her work also branching into illustration as she is currently being commissioned to do the artwork for a soon to be published story book along with a graphic novel and concept work for animation. Whilst of course continuing to pursue her first passion of painting, with new collections underway.
